One of the reasons Access Mobility has remained the premier provider of mobility equipment for Indianapolis is because of our spacious showrooms. Giving our family of customers the ability to try many of the different sizes and configurations of power mobility equipment allows for real-world testing to their unique needs and challenges.

Maybe, but not through Access Mobility. Because we are a cash-and-carry store, we cannot file claims with private insurance. If you require assistance through insurance or Medicare, we’d be happy to suggest a few options.
The answer to this question will depend on where the scooter will be used most frequently. If the scooter will be mostly indoors, the 3-wheel scooter would have the advantage because of a much tighter turning radius. Turning through a doorway from a hallway is much easier with a 3-wheel unit. One of the downfalls of a 4-wheel scooter is its large turning radius. If the equipment will mainly be used outside and off of pavement, then a 4-wheel unit has the advantage. The increased stability of having two front wheels is a big plus, making for a noticeably more comfortable ride.
This is an excellent question and the answer is very simple: EVERY NIGHT. Every day you use your mobility device, it should be recharged that evening. Whether it was just to the mailbox or a full day at the fair, plug it in before bed and it will be ready to go in the morning. Overcharging concerns are long gone with the technology inside the new chargers these days. NOTE: If you have not used your mobility device for more than 7 days, it should STILL be charged. We suggest a routine of once a week, especially during the winter months. Batteries that are neglected for more than a few weeks will begin to have a reduced life span. Protect your investment and charge your batteries frequently.
No! It does not benefit the batteries to have the charger plugged in 24/7. Once the charger sees that the batteries are fully charged, the charger stops monitoring the batteries and will not restart the charging sequence until it is unplugged and reconnected again. The chargers that come with all mobility devices are 1-cycle chargers, not maintainers.
